I like how, in some of the haiku's, you were able to use the form to make a joke... writing poetry should be fun, for both the writer and his or her eventual readers :D

I have to wonder if the poems about Hero were based just a little bit on the myth about Hero and... Leander? I mean, it was Leander that swam the Hellespont, but it would have made much more sense for the Greeks to switch the names up :D Leander sounds more femenine and Hero sounds more masculine... at least in my mind, LOL.

I'm... not sure why, but your haiku's remind me of the text that accompanies this webcomic I started reading not too long ago - I know they're not the same, and the comic's definantly not in haiku form, but... your diction or... line divisions remind of the way that guy writes :P
